Console-exclusive Games We’d Like to See on PC

If you’re a PC gamer like us, you know the feeling – a new game is announced that sounds right up your alley. The excitement builds, only to crash when you discover it’s exclusive to a certain console. We’ve all been there, and in this blog, we want to talk about some of the console-exclusive games we wish were playable on our PCs.

Bloodborne

console-exclusive games: bloodborne

When our team members were asked what games they would like to see on the PC, two of our trainer makers immediately said Bloodborne. The main reason is that they really need a Godmode for it. Well, we get that. FromSoftware’s games aren’t exactly known for their relaxing gameplay.

Released in 2015 on PS4, Bloodborne takes you on a thrilling journey into the nightmarish realm of Yharnam, a once-glorious city now shrouded in a sinister veil of mystery and plagued by a devastating disease. Gothic environments, unique weapons, intelligent enemies, grotesque creatures, and merciless combat await you.

Horizon Forbidden West

Another game mentioned by our team members is Horizon Forbidden West, the sequel to Guerilla Games’ masterpiece Horizon Zero Dawn.

We have good news for all of you who have been patiently waiting for the PC version – it’s coming in early 2024! The PC version will include the main game, the Burning Shores DLC, and more.

Horizon Forbidden West takes you deeper into a far-future, post-apocalyptic world where the land is on the brink of collapse. Prepare for an epic adventure as Aloy, the fierce and resourceful hunter, returns to face an even more dangerous landscape. Explore distant lands teeming with mystery and danger and, of course, the colossal machines we came to know and love in the first installment.

The Last Guardian

In 2016, the third-person action-adventure The Last Guardian was released on PS4, and we still wish we could play the game on our PCs. In a strange and mystical realm, a young boy stumbles upon a creature of mysterious origins that forever changes the course of their destinies.

As the story unfolds, the boy and his extraordinary companion form a bond that is anything but conventional. Together, they traverse towering ruins, the remnants of an ancient civilization that hold countless secrets. The game isn’t just a quest for survival but a testament to the power of friendship.

Demon’s Souls

Going back to Souls games, there’s another FromSoftware title that PC gamers haven’t been able to experience (yet). Originally released for PS3 in 2009, a remake of Demon’s Souls was released for PS5 in 2020, making us more jealous than ever, considering how great the game looks.

King Allant of Boletaria, in his insatiable quest for power, unleashed an ancient evil. This malevolent force cast a shroud of colorless mist over the land and spawned grotesque creatures that hungered for the essence of human souls. Now, as a lone warrior, you stand as the last hope for salvation. Your mission: survive the relentless challenges, face unspeakable horrors, and earn the coveted title of Slayer of Demons.

Animal Crossing

One game that several of our team members have mentioned, among other Nintendo games, is Animal Crossing, specifically New Horizons. Our Head of Product & Operations said, “I just want to sit in front of my PC, have a cup of tea, and listen to K.K. Slider.” Sounds amazing!

Also, the graphics could be so much better on the PC, and we could create a trainer for it that would make annoying things like breaking tools a thing of the past. Everyone probably knows the life sim with the cute talking animals, and it would be great to play it on platforms other than just Nintendo Switch.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Staying with Nintendo, we need to talk about another game, or rather a franchise in general, that would be a great addition to our endless library of PC games: The Legend of Zelda, or more specifically, Breath of the Wild. Released on the Switch in 2017, the game looks absolutely stunning as it is, so imagine what it could look like on PC!

In Breath of the Wild, Link awakens after a century-long nap to a world that’s not only unfamiliar but teetering on the brink of oblivion. Hyrule, once a vibrant kingdom, now lies in ruins, and our hero must piece together the fragments of his lost memories before it’s too late.

Ghost of Tsushima

Let’s go back to PlayStation and focus on a game that’s all about cute foxes… er, we mean the first Mongol invasion of Japan. Ghost of Tsushima, the action-adventure masterpiece from Sucker Punch Productions and PlayStation Studios, plunges you into the heart of an open-world samurai adventure (where you can pet foxes!).

Step into the sandals of Jin Sakai, a samurai torn between tradition and the harsh realities of war. The island of Tsushima awaits your exploration with its vast and meticulously crafted landscape. In the crucible of conflict, you face a pivotal choice: adhere to the noble tenets of the warrior code and engage your enemies in honorable combat, or embrace the mantle of “The Ghost.”

The Order 1886

When asked which console-exclusive game he’d like to play on PC, our video editor replied, “The Order 1886, it’s got a great steampunk setting!” This third-person action-adventure shooter sends you into the intricate world of Victorian London.

As Galahad, a seasoned knight of The Order, you’re thrust into a centuries-old war that will shape the course of history. The game is a mesmerizing blend of historical fact and imaginative fiction, where real figures and events collide with fresh takes on myths and legends.

God of War Ragnarök

Since January 2022, we’ve finally been able to experience the critically acclaimed action-adventure God of War on our PCs. However, we’re still patiently waiting for its sequel, God of War Ragnarök, to grace our screens.

Brace yourselves, for Fimbulwinter has tightened its icy grip, heralding the impending chaos of Ragnarök. In this heart-pounding chapter of the saga, Kratos and his son Atreus must traverse the vast expanse of the Nine Realms in search of answers that hold the key to averting the cataclysmic battle destined to consume the world.

inFAMOUS Second Son

The next game on this list was mentioned by our Community Manager and is none other than inFAMOUS Second Son, a PS4 exclusive. The 2014 action-adventure takes you on an electrifying journey into the heart of a locked-down Seattle.

Experience a world where superhumans are feared, hunted, and caged by the oppressive Department of Unified Protection (DUP). As Delsin Rowe, a newfound conduit of extraordinary powers, you’re about to rewrite the rules and redefine what it means to be a hero.

Red Dead Redemption

If you’re like us, you’ve probably spent way too many hours in the lawless yet beautiful world of Rockstar Games’ blockbuster Red Dead Redemption 2. So, it was no surprise to us when members of our tech team mentioned that they would love to experience its predecessor on PC. We couldn’t agree more!

In the unforgiving world of the American West, the line between outlaw and hero is as thin as a strand of tumbleweed in the wind. As former outlaw John Marston, you’ll be thrust into a gripping tale of redemption where family comes first, and old alliances must be severed to survive.

Gladius

The oldest game on our list is Gladius, which one of our trainer makers describes as “one of the best gladiator games ever made.” The strategy RPG was released in 2003 exclusively for PS2, GameCube, and Xbox. It was developed by Lucasfilm Games, the same company that brought us tons of Star Wars games and, most recently, Return to Monkey Island.

In this epic game, you’re not just a player – you’re the owner of a gladiator school, tasked with building a formidable team of warriors and leading them to victory over rival schools.
