The long-awaited Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is finally here! Take on the role of the Spider-Man and keep New York City’s neighborhoods safe. Swing through the rooftops and view the impressive city from above.

In this guide, we’ll give you some important Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered tips and tricks to get you ready to fight crime with your spider powers.

1) Learn how to swing properly

Once New York is unlocked, you should definitely use it to practice your swing mechanics. The swing mechanics themselves take some getting used to at first. Remember that Spider-Man’s web must always stick to something, like a building.

In Central Park, it’s unwise to swing high above the trees since you won’t have anything to stick your webs to. Try a jump to a fixed point where you can gently push off. Swinging, jumping, and pulling are all part of this system, so it’s best to practice and master them from the beginning.

2) Use your spider powers right

Let’s get to one of the most fun parts of a fight! Use your spider powers to glue your enemies to the walls and floors with sticky webs.

After several hits, normal enemies will be incapacitated and unable to move. Now you can use Swing Kick – the first skill of the Webslinger skill tree – and kick an obstacle to take your enemy right out of the fight.

3) Get to know your equipment

It’s likely that you’ll unlock more equipment in Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered than you regularly use, however you should still try it all at least once. You might find something new that fits your playstyle well. Trip mines, web bombs, electronic webs and impact webs, for instance, are among the best equipment available.

4) Spider-Man Remastered tips: Stealth Attacks

When you unlock Stark’s suit, you’ll get the Spider-Bro ability, a cute little drone that you can use to attack enemies.

If you’re in stealth mode and like to move in the shadows, you can easily trigger the missile launcher through the drone and fire it at enemies. The great thing about the missile launch is that neither your enemies nor anyone else will know where it came from – nasty, isn’t it?

5) Equip the right mods

Suit mods are like passive upgrades in Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, allowing you to customize your gameplay to suit your interests. There are three different suit mods that you can and should equip at the same time. You won’t have to get too familiar with them, you’ll discover the ones that are most beneficial for your play style.

If you want to dish out a lot of good finishers and heal yourself frequently, use mods that focus more on specific actions. It’s a matter of playstyle – with one exception. You should buy and equip the combat analysis mod as early as possible. It will ensure that you get more experience points for battles and subsequently level up faster.

6) Detect crimes more easily

You should always be on the lookout for surveillance towers that will help you find completely random crimes. Usually, you’ll only hear these events from shouting NPCs, but if you reveal the map squares, they’ll be marked on the map. Important to note: Otherwise, crimes will only be shown to you at the beginning of the game, as they are part of the tutorial.

7) Use fast travel

As elegantly built as this New York is and as fun as it is to jump around in, the distances add up the further you travel. Note that the F.E.A.S.T. Center, Peter’s workplace, his apartment, all the research stations, and every police station are all fast travel destinations in Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered.

8) Take advantage of your surroundings

There’s no shame in escaping quickly if things go badly for you in combat. Especially on skyscrapers, it makes sense to swing into the neighboring building from where you can attack again. It’s much harder to get around in tight spaces, but you can use a net pull to get back up and get some air.

Some enemies, like the shield bearers and those with their electric bludgeons, can hit you pretty hard. Stick to walls and bounce off them towards these enemies. This way you’ll knock the enemies to the ground and thus be able to beat them more easily – it’s one of the best ways to make fighting easier.

9) Upgrade your abilities

Spider-Man is already pretty well equipped, so it’s easy to forget that you should upgrade his skills. When you level up, you’ll receive one skill point each time. You can exchange these points in one of the skill trees in the skills tab for sometimes more, sometimes less useful skills. What you unlock with them is entirely up to you, but it is advisable to start by skilling the first skill of each tree.

10) Combat tips

It is better to attack snipers first in Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, then weapon bearers, and then people carrying melee weapons. This will help you avoid being hit by people you can’t identify and give you a better tactical understanding of fights.

You can take out two enemy foes at the same time by using trip mines. These can be used both as a trap and to tie soldiers together. This comes in handy when you’re in combat, as it makes it much easier for you.

Combat in Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is similar to the freeflow combat system in the Batman Arkham series, and the dodge button should be your best friend. Otherwise, your enemies will counter you ruthlessly. When the Spider’s sense detects danger, it’s time to get away from your enemies and take cover. Also, don’t forget that during the game Spider-Man’s abilities improve, and at the same time, so do his enemies’ abilities. Therefore, it’s also important that you use Spidey’s speed.
