The Blackmetal Sword – An allrounder with high damage
The Blackmetal Sword isn’t considered the best sword in Valheim without reason. This impressive melee weapon not only has the highest base damage when it comes to slashing, but it’s also a true all-rounder with various strengths.
The only problem is that you won’t have access to this item until later in the game. To forge the Black Metal Sword, you need a blast furnace, for which you have to build a workbench. You will unlock this only after you defeat the Dragon Mother Morder – the fourth boss.
Farming the necessary materials is a bit more difficult, but it’s worth it. You get the raw ore from the Fulings in the Plains. This biome is tough territory that made many a Viking warrior ragequit, but with some skill, you can defeat the Fulings and get the raw ore that way. You can then smelt the raw ore in a blast furnace to create the Black Metal Sword.

The Porcupine – The morning star of the Vikings

The Silver Sword deals not only slashing damage, but also spirit damage. As we already know from old sagas and horror movies, silver is extremely useful in the fight against werewolves. Overall, the damage is respectable, which is why the item is worth mentioning to us. The materials you need are:

The Frostner – Frosty greetings from Valheim
Even though it isn’t the best club, the Frostner is one of Valheim’s strongest and best weapons.
