Cyberpunk 2077 skills: The five core attributes
Reflexes
– stand for the agility of your character. In addition, this value influences the chance of a critical hit as well as passive dodging.
You should definitely invest in Reflexes if close combat is your favorite. In addition, this attribute can improve the handling of light weapons. Handguns, rifles and blades are unlocked in this section.
Constitution
– represents the physical strength of the character. At the same time, constitution directly affects health and stamina points.
This attribute is important for all gamers, no matter what they want to specialize in. Unlock fun actions, like throwing people out of cars, or kicking down doors, by investing points in this section. Athleticism, street brawling, and destruction are activated here.
Technical skill
– indicates how well your character can handle tech weapons or unlock doors. In addition, as the technical skill increases, so does the armor.
This attribute should not be underestimated. It is especially useful in the fight against robots, drones, and mechs. It also allows you to use certain technical weapons. Most important here, however, are the two unlockable skills, Item Crafting and Techie.
Item crafting allows you to not only craft and improve legendary weapons, but also reduces the cost of constructing them. The Techie skill lets you deal tremendous damage by charging the shots of tech weapons.
That’s not all. Targets that are behind cover can be attacked directly, and the throwing radius and damage of grenades are improved.
Intelligence
– stands for competence in mental abilities. As this attribute increases, the cyberdeck storage capacity increases, as well as the duration of quickhacks. In addition, their damage numbers rise.
This is definitely the go-to attribute for hackers. However, the players with a stealth build can benefit from intelligence as well up to a certain point. Disabling alarms, for example, can allow other paths on the map.
The Quickhacks and Breach Protocol skills can be unlocked here.
Coolness
– the level of coolness indicates the value for self-control, resistance and the ability to act in stealth mode. Also, the attribute gives an indication of how difficult it is for enemies to detect you.
This attribute is for those who want to sneak a lot in Cyberpunk 2077. The two abilities Stealth and Cold Blood are unlocked here. Cold Blood is to be used whenever sneaking didn’t quite work out. It allows you to increase direct combat skills and perform final attacks.
It’s all about XP
Attribute points can be increased to a maximum of 20 at the moment. They are only granted when you level up. In addition, the developers do not plan to increase all core attributes to this value.
Experience points in Cyberpunk 2077 are awarded for almost everything you do with your character. Even small activities will give you up to 200 XP.
However, besides main missions (up to 10,000 XP) and side missions (up to 2,000 XP), there’s another trick to collect experience points really fast: Crafting.
For this, you first need blueprints. These can be purchased from merchants. Due to disassembling as well as looting, there are also enough items available to allow a variety of crafting. In addition, the creations can be sold afterward for a profit.
Besides the Eddies, however, the experience points are especially interesting for leveling up in the game. Simple items bring 120 XP; rare weapons or quickhacks up to 250 XP. At first glance, that doesn’t sound like much.
However, it is easy to overlook the fact that quickhacks or medicine can be quickly crafted in large quantities. Crafting is therefore an easy way to give the increase in experience points a good boost.
