1) Watch the time of day
Every NPC has their own daily routine. Whether you visit your quest giver early in the morning or the middle of the night makes a big difference. When you’re on a quest, be aware of when the quest is due to be completed and when you have appointments.
It’s best to always work first on side quests with an expiration date. A missed quest can’t be resumed. Like its predecessor, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is an RPG in which you can continue after a failure, but you must live with the consequences.
2) Loot everything you find
After you and Hans had to end your swimming trip and flee abruptly, you have no items left. Especially in the first few hours of the game, you should loot anything and everything that comes your way. This includes the two attackers in front of your guardian’s house, as well as all chests, barrels, etc. Even the bread and cheese on the table in front of the hut should go into your inventory.
Keep in mind that food spoils over time. Dried fruit and salted meat will last longer than fresh fruit, so it’s better to consume the latter first. Regarding equipment in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, look for the blood symbol on your loot. He will be suspicious if you try to sell clothes with this symbol to a vendor.
3) Always go into battle well-fed and rested
Let’s take a look at the survival aspects in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. These have a noticeable effect on your combat abilities. If you’re tired or hungry, your stamina and performance will suffer. 5) Train with Tomcat
You can find Master Tomcat in the battle arena in the nomad camp west of Semin. Although you’ve already learned the essential elements of fighting, such as parrying, blocking, and punching, by training with Hans, Tomcat will give you some valuable tips for combo attacks in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
During training, he’ll challenge you to a duel. If you win, he’ll teach you the Master Strike. The only problem is that Tomcat isn’t a beginner but a tough nut to crack. In addition to the stamina bar, the game will show you how Henry is doing by changing the screen’s color. If your view turns black and white, you’ve overdone it with your stamina.
7) Improve your skills
You’ll get some skill points early in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. You should always spend them. It’s easy to miss the notification in the heat of the moment, so we recommend hitting P regularly and checking your stats. You don’t need to save the points, as each skill is tied to a level anyway, and you get new points with each level.
Read the skill descriptions carefully and consider which ones fit your play style. Some skills cancel each other out. Gather different herbs along the way to have all the ingredients at hand. Follow the recipes exactly to make sure your potions turn out right. Keep an eye on the hourglass, use the bellows to stoke the fire, and read carefully to see if you should use wine, oil, or something else as the base ingredient. It’s better to check the alchemy book once too often than not.
9) Craft Savior Schnapps
Warhorse Studios wants to give you the most realistic medieval experience possible. Part of this means that certain convenience features that are standard in other RPGs are unavailable. One example is free saving. If you want to create a savegame in KCD 2, you have only two options: close the game entirely or drink a Savior Schnapps.
Especially when you’re on a tricky quest or about to try something dangerous, schnapps can be your savior. Drink one before critical dialogues and fights, and reload if the situation didn’t go as you had hoped.
10) Always carry a shovel
You can use the shovel to dig a grave in the first few minutes after the prologue in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
