In our ENDLESS Legend 2 tips and tricks, we’ll show you how to explore Saiadha, make the most of its unique map features, and bring Minor Factions under your banner. You’ll also learn how to grow your empire without overextending and how to master this amazing strategy game.

Explore the world

The world of Saiadha is full of mysteries waiting to be discovered. Every step reveals new tiles, hidden resources, and unexpected encounters. Initially, much of the map in ENDLESS Legend 2 is covered in Fog of War, so you need to send out your armies to lift the veil. Once revealed, you’ll always see the tile yields and towns of Minor Factions, but beware: once your Army moves on, you won’t see enemy movements anymore.

Movement is important in ENDLESS Legend 2. Each Army has a limited number of Movement Points, and terrain costs can slow you down. Sometimes, three points only move you two tiles forward. Right-click to send your Army ahead, or hold the button to see how many turns a long trip will take. Good planning saves time, especially early in the game.

Exploration isn’t just about land grabs. Quests drive your journey, encouraging you to uncover new areas or send your Army to specific locations. Open your Quest Journal at any time to monitor your objectives and plan your next moves. Watch for Tidefalls as well. These events unlock large parts of the map and often connect directly to your story quests.

Map features

While exploring in ENDLESS Legend 2, you’ll encounter various features that influence your strategy. Keep an eye out for these:

  • Curiosities: Strange sites scattered across the land. Simply walk your Army over them to earn rewards. You can obtain resources, gear for your heroes, or trigger story events. Most stay on the map until collected, but during the Monsoon, special curiosities appear that vanish when the rain stops.
  • Anomalies: These are powerful tile locations. Place a Foundation on them to maximize their potential. They yield significantly higher resources than regular tiles, and some even boost your city’s approval. Always worth claiming when possible.
  • Rivers: Deep rivers can block your movement. To cross, right-click on the river to open a menu. Here, you can build a temporary bridge that lasts until the next Monsoon. With the right technology, you can also construct a dam, which permanently changes the terrain.

Integrate minor factions into your empire

You’re not alone out there. Minor Factions already control parts of Saiadha, and how you handle them can shape your entire ENDLESS Legend 2 run. When you come across one of their villages, you have a choice:

  • Throw some Dust their way and walk away with one of their units.
  • Embark on a quest that, once completed, brings all their villages in that region under control.
  • Go full warlord and burn the place down.

Leaving them unchecked causes trouble. Villages will keep spawning roaming armies. Some just wander, but others will chase you down. When the Monsoon hits in ENDLESS Legend 2, every Minor Faction turns hostile. No exceptions.

Pacifying them is usually the smarter move. Once a village is under control and within your borders, you can incorporate them into your empire. That’s where the real benefits begin.

  • Extra population perks based on each faction’s specialties.
  • Unique units you won’t find anywhere else.
  • Cohab bonuses like Notables for your Officials and additional FIDSI boosts.

At first, you can only sign a few Protectorate deals in ENDLESS Legend 2. Later, technology unlocks more slots. The sooner you bring Minor Factions into your fold, the faster your empire grows.

ENDLESS Legend 2 tips: Grow your empire

Once you’ve explored a bit, it’s time to grow your presence across Saiadha. The map is divided into large sections called Territories, each with its own mix of terrain, FIDSI yields, Anomalies, resources, and Minor Factions.

Your first claimed territory in ENDLESS Legend 2 becomes your Capital City. Don’t worry too much about finding the perfect tile right away. The game provides a helpful boost called Prepared Settlement, which increases your FIDSI output by 50% for as many turns as you spent looking for your capital spot. So, taking extra time to scout doesn’t put you behind.

Founding your capital is simple. Select an Army, click the Found Capital button, and you’ll see the nearby yields highlighted. Pick the tile you prefer, left-click, and your first city is established — that entire territory becomes yours.

When you start managing a city in ENDLESS Legend 2, you can only build one thing at a time. Larger cities produce faster, but the queue still processes items one at a time. That’s why expansion is so important. More cities mean multiple things can be built simultaneously. Aim to always stay at your maximum city limit if possible.

The only catch? Don’t overextend. Expanding too quickly without sufficient armies to defend your borders can lead to disaster. It’s better to grow steadily than to risk everything in an unexpected attack.

Resource tips

Resources are the backbone of your empire in ENDLESS Legend 2. Here’s what you need to know:

There are two main types:

  • Strategic Resources: Used for unit upgrades and district improvements. Crucial for remaining competitive in battles and urban development.
  • Luxury Resources: Increase empire-wide stats such as approval, fortification, FIDSI output, or even your hero’s XP gain. Activate boosters for significant temporary bonuses.

How to get them:

  • Build Mines inside your Territories.
  • Earn them as Quest rewards.
  • Trade for them at Outposts.
  • Use them in Diplomacy to sway factions.

Trading made easy:

  • Unlock Trading Posts with the Era 2 “Markets” tech.
  • Buy and sell resources directly from your main view by clicking the icons.
  • Prices rise with demand and drop when interest fades. Check the arrows next to the price to spot trends.

Industry management:

  • Have too much Industry? You can convert it into other resources. The catch: it consumes production slots, which means you lose turns that could have been spent building something else.
  • Ideally, you want just enough Industry so nothing gets wasted. But if you end up with a surplus, keep this trick in mind.

Declaring war

No matter how careful you play, war is unavoidable in ENDLESS Legend 2. Maybe you get too close to a rival, or maybe they just don’t like your face. Either way, prepare to fight.

You can declare war in two ways:

  • Justified War: Has no influence costs, but you can only do this if your opinion of the other empire is Very Low.
  • Unjustified War: Can be declared anytime, even if there are treaties in place. It costs Influence depending on how good your relationship was. The higher the opinion, the more expensive the war. This also means you’ll take an immediate hit of War Fatigue, while your opponent gets a delay.

Once war kicks off, keep track of two things:

  • War Score: Your progress meter. Win battles, siege cities, and watch it increase. A high War Score can pressure the enemy to surrender.
  • War Fatigue: The longer the conflict lasts, the more your citizens become tired of it. Approval declines, rebellions may happen, and your empire begins to feel the strain.

You can end wars in three ways through Diplomacy:

  • Surrender Demand: Force the enemy to pay Dust tribute.
  • White Peace: End hostilities with no tribute exchanged.
  • Surrender Offer: Accept defeat and pay Dust yourself.

How to win

In the end, everything you do — exploring, expanding, fighting, and scheming — is about achieving victory. ENDLESS Legend 2 offers three main paths to claim the crown:

  • Awakening Victories: Progress through the story and uncover the mysteries of Saiadha. There are seven possible outcomes tied to the narrative. If you’re into the lore, this is the most rewarding way to play.
  • Score Victory: If the game reaches the final turn, the empire with the highest score wins. Think of it as a long grind toward efficiency and empire management.
  • Conquest Victory: Go all-in on domination and wipe out every other empire until you’re the last one remaining. Ruthless but effective.
