1) Save money by haggling

All beginnings are hard, and so it takes a lot of pennies to make your way as Henry through the world of Kingdom Come: Deliverance. It’s a good idea to question every impulse you have to buy something. After all, there’s little you can do to earn coins in the early hours of the adventure. You’ll want to collect as much as you can. You can buy food in the village taverns. You can sell apples and the like to a merchant for some money.

But even as a player, you can get such dice. In any case, your task is to roll as many ones and fives as possible. After each roll, put the dice on the side. If you don’t have a one or a five, your round ends, otherwise you get to roll again.

Besides getting a shovel and finding the treasure maps, you’ll need a horse in Kingdom Come: Deliverance to cover the usually long distances. It’s also a good idea to bring some weapons with you, as you’re likely to encounter thieves and Cumans.

4) Poaching and hunting

First of all, poaching is forbidden in the game and only nobles and hunters are allowed to do it. Hunting and gutting animals such as deer, rabbits, and wild boar can earn you a lot of money. Especially in rural areas, some people like cheap game and will pay you well for it.

Hunting in Kingdom Come: Deliverance isn’t so easy. For one thing, you have to find a hunting area where the animals you are looking for are on the move. Then, aiming a bow and arrow isn’t the easiest thing in the game, especially when you’re up against skittish game. On top of that, there are always Cumans on the move somewhere in the woods, a royal hunter on the prowl, or bandits looking for new victims.

However, if you can survive all these challenges and manage to kill a deer, stag, or boar, you can look forward to a hefty reward.

5) Illegal activities

For your personal wealth in the Middle Ages, you can of course engage in illegal activities other than hunting. Especially robbing nobles will bring you a lot of money. However, you must first master the basics of thieving. The best way to do this is to practice in Rattay by picking a few locks to get into the homes of the rich.

Especially tempting are the cupboards in the offices or bedrooms. Be careful not to get caught! Take enough lockpicks with you so you don’t run out during this risky activity.

If you do get caught, it doesn’t mean that your hand will be chopped off or that you’ll have to vegetate in a dark, dank dungeon. Usually, you’ll have to pay a fine. However, by stealing paintings and finding wallets and the like, you should have enough pennies to pay the fine.

Unlock fences & sell stolen goods

You can sell stolen goods to fences. However, the locals won’t always take everything you offer. After all, it’s a risk for them. To gain access to a fence, you must first unlock it. To sell your stolen goods as quickly as possible, you should pay off your debt to miller Peschek to unlock the side quest “A Good Thief”.

You’ll need to get the ring from the hangman, which you can find in the house. To sell it, you’ll need to find a fence, who will be available to you from that point on. So you can earn a few pennies early in the game by stealing. With miller Peschek and miller Woyzeck, you will quickly have two fences at your disposal.

Attack wanderers & steal money

Another profitable way to get money is to ambush unsuspecting wanderers. Some might consider this method dishonorable. Others see it as a public service, robbing rich people who travel the world unwisely of their belongings.

To rob a traveler, sneak up on them and knock them unconscious. After that, you can grab whatever you can from them. But don’t get caught. It will damage your reputation.

Kill bandits and cumans

Fighting bandits in the forest is another way to make a good income. Afterward, simply collect the armor, weapons, and other items and sell them. The easiest way to find some bandits is to quickly travel between two locations if there’s a forest in between. They’ll ambush you there, unaware that it’s you who’s been waiting for them.

But if you kill some Cumans, you can cut off their ears with a dagger and sell them as trophies. You can get a few pennies for them from Captain Bernhard in Rattay or Mr. Robard.

6) Pick and sell purple sage

If you want to earn money earlier in the game without any dangerous consequences, visit the sheep pasture near the village. You’ll find purple sage there. You’ll need to collect 80 pieces, but once you’ve done so, the vendor will give you 1.2 pennies. By the way, if you improve your reputation over time, you will get better prices. At that point, however, collecting sage is no longer as profitable as other options.
