The Ultimate StarRupture Blueprints Guide

Finding blueprints in StarRupture isn’t optional if you want real progression. Advanced crafting, better automation, and late-game tech all depend on them. In this StarRupture Blueprints Guide, you’ll learn where to find key blueprints, how to survive dangerous outposts, and how to unlock them efficiently.

How to Find Them

Blueprint hunting in StarRupture isn’t a quick side quest. It is a core part of your progression. You can’t simply walk to a fixed spot and grab the blueprint you want. Locations are randomized for each player, but there is still a clear system behind it.

Blueprints appear only in Abandoned Bases. These are scattered across the map and belong to different corporations.

Here is how you recognize them fast:

  • A house icon appears on your map when you get close
  • Each base has a corporation name and a unique title
  • You’re always looking for blue storage chests

Once inside, focus on exploration. The blueprint chest is usually hidden deep inside the base.

Important rules to remember:

  • Blue chests equal recipe unlocks
  • Red chests never unlock recipes
  • Locked buildings often hide the good stuff
  • Every base has at least one alternative entrance

If a door is locked, look around. Windows, broken walls, or side paths usually get you inside.

Every blue chest gives you one or more blueprints. You can also get duplicates if you already used a blueprint at the Recipe Station. To avoid this, collect first and unlock later whenever possible.

Across many runs, one pattern remains consistent. Early blueprints spawn near the Orbital Lander. Late-game recipes are found far away or behind heavy combat zones. The Forgotten Engine is one of the best spots for final unlocks.

Once unlocked at the Recipe Station, you can produce the item freely as long as you have the required building

StarRupture Tube Blueprint

The Tube Blueprint is a major progression blocker in StarRupture. Without it, advanced production is effectively dead. Fortunately, its location is fixed.

StarRupture Tube Blueprint: Game interface showing inventory and a menu for tubes in a storage depot, blurred industrial background.

You’ll find the blueprint northwest of the Landing Pod, at an abandoned Selenian Corporation site called SMB Purple Haze.

Where to Find the Blueprint

  • Location: SMB Purple Haze Selenian Mining Base
  • Region: Northwest of spawn
  • Container: Blue storage chest
  • Area state: Heavily infested

The chest isn’t at ground level. You need to approach this smartly.

How to Reach the Blue Chest

  1. Move behind the tallest ruined building
  2. Climb the rocks along the back side
  3. Enter the structure from the upper floor
  4. Reach the blue chest inside

Be quick. Looting the chest triggers another enemy wave. Grab the blueprint and leave immediately, or chaos will ensue.

Unlocking Tubes at the Recipe Station

After securing the blueprint, head back to your base.

You need the following to research Tubes:

  • Titanium Sheet
  • Titanium Rod
  • Data Points

Once unlocked, Tubes can be crafted at a Fabricator.

Production Setup Tips

Several futuristic machines with glowing blue elements stand on a rocky surface connected by pipes, a hand holding a device in the foreground, mountains in the background.

To avoid production stalls, your setup matters.

  • Connect one Fabricator for Titanium Sheets
  • Connect one Fabricator for Titanium Rods
  • Feed both into a third Fabricator for Tubes
  • Attach Cargo Storage buildings to prevent overflow

Without storage, production stops at 100 and wastes time.

Why Tubes Matter

Tubes are required for almost all advanced progression.

  • Inductors
  • Applicators
  • Most late-game resources

If you rush one blueprint early, make it this one.

StarRupture Rotor Blueprint

The Rotor Blueprint is another key unlock you should grab early. It’s in a dangerous spot, but the reward is worth the stress.

Wide rocky landscape with rugged mountains in the background and a flat, stony plain in the foreground.

You’ll find it northwest of your base, at the SMB Purple Haze outpost. Yes, the same location as the Tube Blueprint.

How to Spot the Location

When leaving your base, look toward the horizon.

  • A damaged satellite or antenna array
  • Sticking out of a large crater
  • Visible from far away in clear weather

If you see that structure, you’re heading the right way.

Prepare Before Entering

This outpost is packed with enemies, so don’t walk in unprepared.

  • Bring plenty of ammo
  • Fully charge your Medtool
  • Have your Grenades ready
  • Clear enemies slowly and safely

Once the area is clear, move to the back of the outpost.

Reaching the Blueprint Chest

  1. Go to the west side of the outpost
  2. Find the only two-storey building
  3. Walk behind it on the west-facing side
  4. Climb the rocks next to the building
  5. Jump from the cliff into the open roof

Inside, the blue container sits on the second floor.

Loot Smart and Leave Fast

The blue chest contains:

  • Rotor Blueprint
  • Tube Blueprint if you missed it

Search each floor for:

  • Extra materials
  • Lore items
  • Resources for Data Points

One last warning. Picking up the blueprints triggers another enemy wave. Keep the ground floor door closed while looting, then sprint out once you’re done.

Other StarRupture Blueprint Locations

Once you move past the early game, blueprints start hiding in places that really test your preparation. Here’s a cleaner overview of the most important locations and what makes each one dangerous.

  • Chemicals – CRRO Spored Rock: This base sits far to the east and is filled with toxic blue spores. Enemies spawn nonstop, so grab the blueprint near the tower railing and get out fast.
  • Electronics and Rotor – Unmarked ruin west of the crashed ship: Hidden in a ravine near Starry Night, this ruin is easy to walk past. Slow exploration matters here because the chest blends into the environment.
  • Synthetic Silicon – GRO Mythic Cry: Located far north in rough terrain, this site requires you to drop in from the roof. Once inside, spores and enemy waves turn the room into a pressure cooker.
  • Hardening Agent – Central crashed ship: The blueprint is at the base of the wreck near the Next Step landmark. Heavy enemy presence means you should thin the crowd before opening the chest.
  • Stator – GRO Lemon Souls: One of the calmer research sites, but the blueprint requires precise jumps between buildings. A failed jump puts you directly into enemy paths.
  • Stabilizer – CRO Grey Owl: Perched on a small mountain northeast of spawn, this location emphasizes climbing over combat. The chest is easy to miss if you leave too quickly.
  • Valve and Electromagnetic Coil – CRFHSRB Redleaf: This is a full-puzzle outpost that requires you to collect multiple keycards. Enemies respawn as you move, so clearing routes early saves ammo and stress.
